Modeling and Acting Agencies?

Hi (: I%26#039;m 15 years old, and i%26#039;m an aspiring model, and actress. I live in Atlanta, Georgia. And i need some help on finding modeling and acting agencies. Any help would be great (:

Modeling and Acting Agencies?
1. Training. Acting/Dancing/Singing classes are a good start. You start to get some talent under your belt, and grow your confidence. Plus, if after about a year of classes if you realize you really don%26#039;t like it, it%26#039;ll be easier for you to back out.

2. Experience. Do Community Theater, act in your school play, get in some student films, etc. You%26#039;ll want to do as many productions as possible to have a great resume.

3. Agent. http://www.soyouwanna.com/site/syws/tale...

As you can see, you%26#039;re going to need to spend at least two years (At the VERY least. Usually you%26#039;ll need three to four.) building yourself up. You%26#039;ll want to make sure this is what you really want to do before you start getting into this.

Also, you should NEVER have to pay for anything when it comes to getting an agent. If an agent tells you to take special classes from them or a website asks for a credit card number, that is a red flag that it is a scam. Some of the big scammers out there are: John Robert Powers, Millie Lewis, John Casablancas, Proscout, Model Look, Barbizon.

Hope this helps and I wish you a fantastic career. =)

Help with my auditions and jitters, AHHHH stress!?

I am attending a 5 day Band Camp an hour away from where i live. There%26#039;s so many of us going that they split us up into 3 bands based on ability level. Because of this setup, we have to audition for band and chair placement. I have my audition ready, i actually played it for a contest a couple months ago, so i know the material REALLY REALLY well. But, whenever i get to any audtion i freeze up and i can%26#039;t play well. I loose my breath and sometimes even start hyperventalating, so i don%26#039;t have very good air support, which gives me a bad tone.. (I play flute, the instrument that requires the MOST air out of ALL the other instruments..). Does anyone have advice to shake off the jitters and help me do my best. Deep breathing DOES NOT help me...
Help with my auditions and jitters, AHHHH stress!?
I%26#039;ve been there and will be there again and my friend told me to think of an image that is relaxing and calm. I think about I%26#039;m singing in front of my parents or by myself and it helps somewhat. Also just relax and let everything go.
Help with my auditions and jitters, AHHHH stress!?
I have always had audition jitters. As an actress, I always try to think of an audition as a performance, and try to %26quot;entertain%26quot; judges just as you would anyone else you would act for (or, in your case, play). I try to let myself sink into my love of acting and try not to think about abything else but this minite right now. It really helps me do great auditions.

Also, try to picka song that you truely enjoy, if you can pick. again, if you enjoy yourself and simply be an entertainer, you will be great :-)
Reply:have a sip od brandy to calm down.

Relax

Think about the last notes you will play.

Pre occupy your mind on other things.

How to build a Globe Theatre Model?

I need to build a model of this theatre for my english class. Has anyone ever built this? Or if you haven%26#039;t, do you have any ideas how I could build this?

I found this: http://www.papertoys.com/globe.htm

However, although that%26#039;s perfect, I need it about 4 times bigger than that :/. Anybody know how to enlarge that , and everything stays to scale?

Would it be possible to take a copy of that image and blow it up to 400%? If you try this, be sure to use decent card - paper will not work.

Paste the papertoys model pieces into word or paint and enlarge it to the size you need. Do it piece by piece so that it fits your printer.

Audition help. Merchant of Venice.?

ok so i am auditioning for my school production of the merchant of venice in 3 days, i dont know anything about the play, nobody does. We are going to be given a set text to perform at the auditions. i have only studied the tempest before. I dont have time to learn the whole play but i need some idea of characters. The play is only a 30 minute extract and its only school so its quite amature but there are some real drama queens there so i need a head start!!! Anyone with help on characters or ideas on what scenes are usually used for auditions i would really appreciate your help. Thankyou !
Audition help. Merchant of Venice.?
just be confident and know you can do it. don%26#039;t be scared because that will let you down! good luck;) i know you can do it even though i barely know you!
Audition help. Merchant of Venice.?
You should rent the movie..there is a recent one starring Joseph Fiennes, Jeremy Irons, and Al Pacino that you should check out.
Reply:If you go to Barnes %26amp; Noble, look in the drama section, you can find books that will give you a quick synopsis of the Shakespeare plays with character breakdowns. It will also explain the dialogue; sort of translate it into modern English.

Also, if you google the play you can find some sites.
Reply:Google Merchant of Venice, Portia, Act 4, scene 1. This is the scene in which Portia, the heiress, pleads with Shylock (the Jew) to have mercy on Antonio (the Merchant). This is the scene containing one of the more famous soliloquies of the play, %26quot;The quality of Mercy is Not Strained....%26quot;. That would be a great audition piece, and probably everyone%26#039;s choice, to be perfectly honest.

Also, before you audition, you should read a synopsis of the play to get a full understanding of what is going on. Hopefully you%26#039;ll enjoy it, it%26#039;s (obviously) an amazing piece of work.

Good luck!

Summer theatre production?

I want to audition for a theatre production (preferably a musical) this summer for teens. I looked at my high school theatre%26#039;s bulletin board, but I only saw advertisements for theatre camps (which I%26#039;m not interested in because of the cost and I want to work on a show). How do I find out about summer shows? Are they through churches, theatre companies, ect?

It depends on where you live and how far you are willing to go.

And of course, if you have talent.

Keep trying.

Good luck

What's the best way to prepare for an upcomming play?

Read it if you can. Try to get a sense of the charecters you want to play, and, if the audition involves a cold read, you can already be ready. Try to invent charecters. Just read and re-read it as much as you can. Good luck!
What%26#039;s the best way to prepare for an upcomming play?
I%26#039;m assuming you%26#039;ve already learned your lines and are speaking of opening night.

Relax. Trust that you know what you%26#039;re doing. Have a good meal a few hours before the performance. Connect with your fellow players before the show in a calm fashion.
