To be, or not to be, that is the question?
How can you get into acting?
Move to a major city. Eventually, New York or Los Angeles will be your destination, but as you build your resum茅 of experience you can work in other major metropolitan areas that have good theater or film communities.

Enroll in acting class. Good actors study their entire lives. To choose a good class, ask trusted, successful professionals for references.

Compose a resum茅 of all the work you have done so far. As your body of work grows, drop the less professional work (such as school plays) from your resum茅.

Send your headshot and resum茅 with a brief cover letter to all the casting directors and agents in your area. Follow up with postcards every four to six months, updating them on your current acting projects.

Read the trade papers regularly: %26quot;Backstage,%26quot; %26quot;Dramalogue,%26quot; %26quot;The Ross Reports%26quot; and %26quot;Variety,%26quot; as well as online publications such as newenglandfilm.com, as appropriate. Know what is being cast where, and send headshots and notes directly to directors and producers whenever possible, requesting auditions.

Always accept invitations to industry events and parties, and meet industry professionals whenever possible. Who you know is extremely important.

Persevere.

And good luck!
Reply:Get an agent! do a video first= be serious about it, make it less than ten minuets= call it something like %26quot;keys to the past%26quot; something simple, an old envelope with a wax seal on the back with a capitol A embedded in it= dusty and parchment faded, the camera is on you at your best of curiosity as you open it and find two very old keys that looked like they were to very old old locks, but to what? and where? == as the star of the short film reads the letter inside== this is where you bring on your talent= expressions on your face can tell everything in the letter== now that shouldn%26#039;t take more than five minuets= then you have five more minuets to unlock the %26quot;keys to the past%26quot;== from this point you can take it anywhere from%26quot; you%26#039;ve got mail%26quot; to %26quot;the Blair witch project%26quot; be creative. And when your done send a copy out to every agent in town if you can afford it send a few out to Hollywood= put must see on the package=ya might get lucky= if you need the second act, drop me a line and i will kick you back four or five alternate endings==
Reply:By auditioning for plays in your city. Look in your local newspaper, there are often audition notices for the local theater companies.
